The unforgettable single from Bebe Rexha entitled, “Drinking About You,” just got a major facelift. A pop single which released this past April, The Chainsmokers spun their progressive-house magic on “Drinking About You” and the result is glorious. Bebe Rexha’s vocals are still paramount on this as her emotive yearning for a lover creates the perfect climb for The Chainsmokers potent chord progressions. This remix definitely raises anticipation for the ‘selfie dj’s’ upcoming single, “Kanye,” that is set to drop in 7 days (August 5th). Take a listen to The Chainsmokers “Drinking About You” remix by Bebe Rexha and start following The Chainsmokers on Twitter for upcoming show announcements. Enjoy!
Outasight has hardly been out of mind since the 2011 release of his hit single, “Tonight is the Night.” For two years, he toured the world in support of the song, which has been certified platinum, was featured in commercials for the Academy Awards, Honda, Pepsi and Pizza Hut, and was performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Now, back home in Yonkers, New York, Outasight is doing things on his own – which is how he wants it. From his own handcrafted studio, he has been able to reconnect with his soulful roots and create music without interference or distraction. The result is Chasing a Ghost, a new album that shows an artist coming full circle and perfecting his sound, and today we premiere “Anchor Down” which is the first single from the upcoming album. Chasing a Ghost highlights Outasight’s remarkable ability to seamlessly combine elements of hip-hop, soul and pop into a sound that’s instantly identifiable. The album is scheduled for release in October of this year. Check out the video below and enjoy!

Fences, a Seattle alt-pop band helmed by Christopher Mansfield, is gearing up to release a new album in October. Today they premiere the project’s lead single “Arrows” on a Seattle radio station. The band has an established underground following, but this song could thrust them into Hot 100 territory: It’s catchy, packed with emotion, and features Grammy award-winners Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. This isn’t the first time Mansfield and Macklemore have worked together. The duo met years ago while performing around Seattle, and Mansfield co-wrote a song on Macklemore’s 2012 album The Heist (“10,000 Hours”), and was featured on 2011′s “Otherside Remix,” which he co-wrote. Let us know what you think. Enjoy.
“Fences is a good friend, He’s fu**ed up in the same way that I’m f***ed up. Because of that, our lives relate beyond the music. I’ve always admired his talent for illustrating with words and evoking imagery. We’ve made a bunch of stuff together over the years and this here song about Arrows is my favorite one we’ve done.” -Macklemore
Earlier today, Visionary Music Group member who goes by the name of QuESt released yet another brand new track titled “Automatic” and within just the first few seconds I was obsessed. On top of Megatron ICE & 6ix absolutely murdering this beat, QuESt really came through and showed us all how talented he really is and how hard he can spit some dope bars. This is the second leak off of QuESt’s upcoming mixtape “Searching Sylvan” after he released May 10th, 2012 last week to start building the hype for the tape, and it’s safe to say I speak for most of us when I say I’m super excited to hear the project in full. Make sure to follow QuESt on his Twitter page to keep up with all of his future releases, let us know what you think, and enjoy!
