Great Video, Give It Some Love

Well the name The Incomparable Shakespeare should be familiar with every GMAD viewer by now being that we’ve been posting his music for over a year; however, we at GMAD have a chance to give back to Shake and help him get to the next level in his career. As many of you know, this video is not new, BUT this video now has a chance to be on MTV! The catch is that almost every other video nominated for “The Best Freshman Video” on MTVU has the support of major labels or companies so it’s easier for them to get votes. He is an underdog, but his music speaks for itself. I know you loved his Wonderwall video (judging by the comments/voting), so vote every day until this Friday at 2pm so we can help him out in this David vs Goliath match. A great part about this site is the relationship we have with the artists and we have the chance to give back to an artist who has constantly given us great, FREE music. Also, you can expect big things from The Incomparable Shakespeare and GMAD in the near future, so get ready . . .

If you want to get technical it’s a listening party, not an interview. But, Kanye does discuss a few things of importance such as traveling, pet peeves, and being an the Illuminati.

Hit the jump for part two where Ye talks about the Kardashians and Runaway, among other things.

Part 2:

Timeflies (Cal & Rob Resnick) – Lose My Mind

Timeflies when you have a good song to listen to.

Here’s another great new song from Timeflies. As usual, Rob Resnick produces the songs, while Cal sings. The duo of Timeflies always seem to impress me. From the start of the song, you can tell that this is a party song. Cal changes up his vocals from his norm, singing and rapping with his voice changing throughout the song. Rob made another sweet beat that even bumps and switches up throughout the song, even having a dubstep moment, which doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of the song. Enjoy and listen to more of their songs here

Here is the newest song from Timeflies out of Tufts University. This is a different sound from Rob and Cal and the duo is looking forward to dropping a few more tracks in the coming weeks. Timeflies are booking a few shows for the new year, so be on the lookout for them.

Over Fif’s ‘Ok, You’re Right.’ Lupe just wants some snare in his headphones. What a connection I just made. Lupe does a much better job than Wiz.

Sounds a lot like it… This is just some in-studio footage of Kanye and Charlie Wilson Update: AND Mos Def (thanks for the heads up Nick) working on new material, most of which will go towards Charlie’s album. Kanye wearing a suit in the studio. TFM. Very classy.

Well here they are… Slightly lower than the projections and Bieber made his mark, but no real surprises.

In case you don’t know how to read a chart, those aren’t the top 6 albums from last week. Just to clarify. Special shouts to “tullZZZ” who guess Ne-Yo right on the button.

Prep School Swag

Being a prep school kid myself.. I respect the hell out of people like Split Second, Jazz Cartier, and now Park (Brian Ferrel) who are makin bangers out of their boarding school dorm rooms. The 18 year old Seattle native is currently attending the Berkshire school in Sheffield, MA while working on his third full mixtape set to drop sometime this January. He’s got a fun vibe, super relatable lyrics and has been getting a lot of attention (BroBible) since the drop of this video for his track Fly Away. Most of his music is hosted through his youtube channel so check that out  http://www.youtube.com/user/b4ell24 and make sure to like his facebook fan page.
