Pharrell Williams – Happy (Lenno Remix)

At the moment, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams may be the biggest song internationally. Off his recent album Girl, the single he performed at this year’s Oscar is a popular track to remix. Lenno is the latest artist to release a “Happy remix” injecting it with his trademark nu-disco synth sounds and peppering it with delicate electronic flurries. With this fresh approach that’s funky and futuristic, Lenno’s re-work is a great listen for days by the pool and at the beach. Take a listen to Lenno’s remix of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams and download it for free. Enjoy!

“I know this song has been remixed by everyone and their mother,” Lenno said, “but I still wanted to give it a try since the original is so genius and I had so many people asking me to do a remix.

“I took it to a completely different direction from the original’s minimalism and basically made it sound like a massive stadium funk track from the future. A friend of mine said it sounds like a Prince song produced by Rustie on acid, which I think is apt! I had a lot of fun making it, so I hope everyone likes it.”

Dropzone – Unicorn

Don’t let the hilarious picture fool you; this song from Russian duo Dropzone goes super hard. Originally two separate artists for over 12 years, Saint Art and Saint Rider teamed up to create Dropzone in late 2013. Although the Moscow based duo has not put out an extensive amount of work yet, I feel like they’re going to be making waves in the EDM community very soon. With “Unicorn”, Dropzone show off their trap side while also incorporating some house elements into the song. Make sure to have some sort of bass when listening to this to get the full effect of the drop, which is filled with heavy back bass and futuristic lazer effects. Keep an ear out for Dropzone in 2014 and enjoy!!

Cam Meekins – Hater

A few days back Cam Meekins announced the release of his new album “1993, Vol.2″ which will officially hit iTunes on May 21st and along with the announcement, he released his first single off of it titled “Hater”. Cam is personally one of my favorite upcoming artists from Boston and it’s pretty dope to watch him grow as an artist through all of his different projects that he delivers on a regular basis. Hater is produced by The Futuristics and if it’s any indication as to what else is to come on the album, I’m super excited for the official release. 1993 Vol. 2 became available for pre-order on iTunes last night which instantly climbed up the charts and still remains at number 26 in the “Hip-Hop/Rap” category so make sure you grab your copy by using the link below, and enjoy!
