Sammy will be hitting the road on his “Senioritis Tour” early 2017.
Sammy Adams has debuted his new single “Where You Are”, marking the newest chapter in his career. Following on the heels of his sophomore album ‘The Long Way’ and a momentum-building Fall Tour, it would appear Sammy is heading into a new era. While the thunderous new single is in line with what we’ve seen from mega stars Justin Bieber and DJ Snake and the best part, Sammy brings something special with his new track, his first as an independent artist, free from both his RCA and 1st Round Records.
“Where You Are” is produced by Los Angeles up and coming producer Wyrd, who is being mentored by some of the biggest names in electronic music. Wyrd puts his heart on the products, with the track’s drop a clear sign of what is yet to come for Wyrd.
We spoke to Sammy Adams upon being sent this single last week and he stated:
“To me it’s about living in the moment – and believing in something that others may not. There isn’t a right or wrong place to be, it is just ‘where you are’ at that time. It could stand for your love life, business, location, etc. There’s so much pressure to be successful and popular in this ADD media society we live in- the song is a reminder to breathe, enjoy, and live you’re life the way you want to. And anyone that doesn’t believe in the dream gets left where the f*ck they are, naked and cold.”
Coinciding with the release, Sammy Adams announced that he will be heading out on a 5-6 week college market tour in early 2017. The tour will visit upwards of 25-30 college towns throughout the United States. Simply entitled the “Senioritis Tour”, the tour symbolizes his own relationship to college and senior year (having dropped out his Senior spring to pursue music and tour the world) and the inevitable second semester feelings seniors will have who will be attending his shows.
This chapter of Sammy Adams feels energetic and promising, with a whole new wave of young college kids rallying around his music and social media, its our belief that 2017 will be his year. It’s been a long ways since Sammy first release “Boston’s Boy” premiered on GoodMusicAllDay but boy are we happy the direction he has taken, keeping us on out feet and excited for what’s next!
