California native Jon Pardi reaches the #1 spot on Top Country Albums with “California Sunrise.”
From the West Coast to Lower Broadway, Jon Pardi is growing his fan-base and climbing his way to the top; all the way up to the no. 1 spot, that is. Hit latest LP, “California Sunrise”, released on June 17th, reached the no. 1 spot on the Top Country Albums, giving him yet another reason to “pardi”.
Growing up in Northern California, Pardi is all familiar with the beautiful California sunrises.
“It’s funny just two words can mean so much. Because it’s very intriguing, like, it makes you think, ‘California Sunrise, what’s that mean? What’s this album like?’ And that’s why I chose that as a title,” Pardi told IHeartRadio, “just because I felt there was so much more to be said and to understand about what that meant for a record. So, that’s where that came from.”
The album consists of 12 songs, including his hit single “Head Over Boots”.
Pardi draws inspiration from his childhood favorites, Dwight Yokum and George Straight, but with his own musical stamp on it. It is undeniably one of those mood boosting albums that calls for toe-tapping and a cold beer with good company.
“All I ever wanted to do coming to Nashville was to write rowdy, in-your-face, straight country music, and that’s what this album is,” Pardi stated. “California Sunrise” touches on the subject of life, love, and the feel good country ways. Be sure to check out the no. 1 album now.
